Judge Fitzgerald receives welcome reception
The Lesbian and Gay Lawyers Association (LGLA) and Asian Pacific City Attorney's Association (APCAA) held a welcoming reception for U.S. District Court Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald on June 28 at Los Angeles City Hall. Fitzgerald is newly confirmed by the U.S. Senate to the Central District of California and is the first openly gay federal judge confirmed to serve in California. The event was co-sponsored by Asian Pacific American Women Lawyers Alliance, Irish American Bar Association, Italian American Lawyers Association, Japanese American Bar Association, Korean American Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Mexican American Bar Association, Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles and Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association.
