LA County Bar Association hosts 2012 installation dinner
The Los Angeles County Bar Association swore in its 2012-13 officers, Board of Trustees and barristers officers on June 14 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. More than 500 guests were in attendace to see the installation of Richard J. Burdge Jr. as president of LACBA. Los Angeles Superior Court Presiding Judge Lee Edmon, wife of Burdge, performed the honors of swearing her husband in. Richard Rothschild, director of litigation for the Western Center on Law & Poverty, was presented with LACBA's highest honor, the Shattuck-Price Award, for extraordinary contributions to improving the administration of justice and outstanding dedication to the high principles of the legal profession.
