We don't need the 9th Circuit to retry criminal cases
The U.S. Supreme Court ended its recent term by filing five reversals of the 9th Circuit. Added to other 9th Circuit cases reversed by the Supreme Court earlier in the term, this number has led all federal appellate court reversal records for the last decade.

The U.S. Supreme Court ended its recent term by filing five reversals of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in the last two weeks of July. Added to other 9th Circuit cases reversed by the Supreme Court earlier in the term, this number has led all federal appellate court reversal records for the last decade as evidenced by the 19 reversals cited in Deck v. Jenkins, 814 F.3d 954 (9th Cir. 2016).
