The Whittier Law School Alumni Association held an awards ceremony on April 28 to honor outstanding alumni. The Attorney of the Year award was given to Jonathan A. Michael, founder of Michaels Law Group. San Diego County Superior Court Judge Kerry Wells was awarded with the Judicial Officer of the Year award. Michael Cacciotti, mayor of South Pasadena and deputy attorney general with the State of California Department of Justice, was honored with the Outstanding Public Service award. Captain Brandon Iriye, United States Army Judge Advocate General was given the Outstanding Young Alumni Award, while Peter Reich, professor of law at Whittier Law School, was named professor of the year.
