The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank kicked off its 4th Annual Food From the Bar Campaign on April 26 at the City National Plaza in downtown Los Angeles. Seventeen firms and legal organizations participated in a light-hearted race to fill backpacks with food, which will be donated to children from low-income families. The “Packing it in” race is one of the volunteer competitions that will take place during the four-week-long campaign that will end on May 25. The campaign has rallied the support of the Los Angeles legal community, including law firms, legal organizations, legal and professional services, educational institutions, public legal counsel members and public entities that will compete to see who can raise the most funds, donate the greatest number of canned goods and garner the most volunteers.
