Trinity County judge resigns in deal with CJP
Trinity County Presiding Judge Elizabeth W. Johnson has agreed to resign as part of a settlement to resolve an investigation by the Commission on Judicial Performance into allegations that she lied to state investigators, among other claims.
Trinity County Presiding Judge Elizabeth W. Johnson has agreed to resign as part of a settlement to resolve an investigation by the Commission on Judicial Performance into allegations that she lied to state investigators, among other claims.
Johnson was publicly admonished by the commission. She has agreed to leave office on Thursday and never hold a judicial appointment again as a part of the stipulation.
