Backed by a $3.5 million founding gift from prominent litigator Elizabeth J. Cabraser, UC Berkeley School of Law announced Wednesday it is launching what it hopes will become the nation's preeminent university-based consumer law center.
The Berkeley Center for Consumer Law and Economic Justice is expected to generate research that could spur policy changes and provide students with a variety of hands-on learning experiences.
