Former State Bar education official George C. Leal has been appointed dean of Irvine University College of Law, the unaccredited school recently announced.
Leal served for nearly nine years as the bar’s director of educational standards before stepping down earlier this year. In that role, he assisted the Committee of Bar Examiners with its oversight of state-accredited institutions and unaccredited schools registered with the bar.
