The University of Southern California agreed to a $215 million settlement Friday in a federal class action by women alleging staff gynecologist George Tyndall sexually assaulted them.
The proposed settlement followed two new lawsuits announced Thursday by 93 women who accuse the former campus gynecologist of sexual misconduct. Some 500 women have reportedly filed complaints against Tyndall since 1988.
