LOS ANGELES -- So long as he's living a life of exile, it's unlikely Roman Polanski will be able to win readmission into one of Hollywood's most prestigious circles. But that won't stop him from trying.
Polanski filed a petition for a writ of administrative mandamus on Friday, asking a federal court to overturn the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' May 2018 decision to expel him from the organization.
