Sheriff Alex Villanueva is obstructing attempts to eradicate deputy gangs from the LASD

He has refused to comply with subpoenas to testify and produce records regarding deputy gangs – even after courts have held that he is obligated to do so – and resisted oversight focused on reining in the gangs.
