Santa Barbara city attorney on paid leave for personnel probe
Ariel P. Calonne, appointed by the City Council in 2014, said when reached by phone Thursday that he was not at liberty to discuss what led to his leave or when he would return to work.
The city attorney of Santa Barbara is on paid administrative leave because of an internal personnel matter, the mayor confirmed Thursday, but could not confirm reports of a dispute in the prosecutor’s office last month.
