A San Francisco pilot project that pays low-income jurors $100 a day would go statewide under a bill introduced Tuesday. But the author, Assemblyman Phil Ting, acknowledged it could be difficult to find the money.
“This has been so successful in San Francisco that we want to roll it out statewide,” Ting, D-San Francisco, said at a news conference in the city on Wednesday, adding, “We know this is a tough budget year.”
