Much about the Homelessness and Housing Solutions Tax remains unclear – even whether it will survive the current legal challenge against it.
In the November 2022 election, the voters of the City of Los Angeles passed Los Angeles Measure ULA (United to House LA). The purpose of Measure ULA – which will go into effect April 1 – is to establish and fund programs for the construction of new affordable housing, the rehabilitation of existing properties into affordable housing, and the provision of resources to individuals at risk of homelessness.
