Michele Layne, the director of the Los Angeles regional office of the Securities and Exchange Commission, is leaving after more than 27 years of service, the agency announced Thursday.
The agency did not provide the reason for Layne’s sudden departure in a stated release. Cindy Eson and Kate Zoladz will assume the role of acting co-directors.
