Manifestations of trauma in the courtroom
Trauma can be something that has been long standing in the client’s life, or it can be the divorce that precipitates it. The culture of the courtroom, which is familiar to lawyers, is not familiar to clients. A client who presented initially as high functioning may begin to exhibit different symptoms once they enter the courtroom.
