Gov. Gavin Newsom appointed 10 superior court judges in seven counties on Friday, elevating two commissioners and filling a newly created position in San Bernardino County.
The appointees have a mix of backgrounds: two from private practice, two prosecutors, two public defenders and two from other government service jobs. Six are women and four are men.
All are Democrats.
