USPTO will establish separate bar for design patents
Design patent bar candidates would be required to take the current registration examination with modified scientific and technical requirements.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office revealed Wednesday that it will create a separate bar for design patent practitioners, a year after asking for public comment on the change that would allow more practitioners to appear before the agency.
