The U.S. Southern District of California court got a new magistrate judge on Friday.
Chief Judge Dana M. Sabraw swore in Valerie E. Torres to replace U.S. Magistrate Judge William V. Gallo, who retired. She is based in San Diego.
“I feel honored and privileged to have the opportunity to serve the Southern District of California,” Torres said in an email Friday.
