Sacramento County criminal attorneys to strike
The union is seeking a 5.5% pay increase. Sacramento County says the attorneys are already among its highest-paid staff.
The union representing criminal attorneys employed by Sacramento County announced Friday they would walk off the job on Monday.
The union is seeking higher pay, which it says is necessary to attract and retain competent deputy district attorneys, deputy public defenders and child support attorneys. They are seeking a 5.5% pay increase and retroactive pay.
