San Francisco's Steefel Levitt Opens Outpost in Los Angeles
San Francisco's Steefel, Levitt & Weiss is officially open for business in Los Angeles. The 80-attorney firm began operations in its downtown Los Angeles digs on July 1. Robert Zeavin, the firm's local managing partner, and partner Craig Bloomgarden opened the office, along with one associate.

The firm's Los Angeles office will handle commercial litigation matters, particularly those involving financial institutions, intellectual property and real estate.
Firm Chairman Barry Lee says he would like to see the office swell to at least 10 attorneys in the next year. Steefel Levitt clients include Bank of America, Prudential and Credit Suisse First Boston.
