Public Interest Firm Chooses Investigator to Climb on Board

Public Counsel, the largest public-interest pro bono law firm in the country, elected James Barnes to its board of directors. The nonprofit selected Barnes, who runs a private investigation firm, for the post in the spring. He and his company, Barnes & Associates in Los Angeles, have provided pro bono investigation services to Public Counsel for many years, according to Barnes.

        The nonprofit selected Barnes, who runs a private investigation firm, for the post in the spring. He and his company, Barnes & Associates in Los Angeles, have provided pro bono investigation services to Public Counsel for many years, according to Barnes.
        Barnes is also a licensed attorney who specializes in employment litigation.
