Holme Roberts: DENVER OUTFIT FOLLOWS CLIENTS TO SAN FRANCISCO
Holme Roberts & Owen , a 200-attorney firm based in Denver, is following its largest clients to the Bay Area. Kenneth Lund , Holme Roberts' managing partner, says the firm is opening a San Francisco office to serve clients with new headquarters in San Francisco.
Kenneth Lund, Holme Roberts' managing partner, says the firm is opening a San Francisco office to serve clients with new headquarters in San Francisco.
United Bank, for example, was acquired by Wells Fargo, and Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad merged with Southern Pacific Transportation Co., which was acquired by Union Pacific, with headquarters in San Francisco.
Holme Roberts' San Francisco office will focus on commercial litigation for older industry and emerging growth technology companies, according to Joshua Floum, who left Emeryville's Legal Strategies Group to chair Holme Roberts' California litigation practice.
In addition to Floum, the San Francisco office will open in the next several weeks with six to 10 lawyers; some picked off from local firms, others coming from Denver.
Holme Roberts has offices throughout Colorado, as well as Salt Lake City and London. Its London office serves Denver-based telecommunication, mining and mineral companies that have expanded into European markets.
Lund says the firm's London high-tech practice groups will fit well with its San Francisco high-tech clients.
