The 38-year-old lawyer arrived at Holland & Knight in late April after leaving the Century City office of
Loeb & Loeb. Coventon defends corporations in a range of litigation, including employment, directors and officers liability, and general liability. He also handles trust and estate work for large, national nonprofit corporations.
As part of his practice, he focuses on "forensic accounting" - the tracking and discovery of missing cash and assets from a corporation.
Holland & Knight provides Coventon with more resources for his practice, he says.
Tampa, Fla.-based Holland & Knight has more than 1,200 lawyers firmwide, including 45 in its Los Angeles post.

Loeb & Loeb has 185 lawyers in four offices.
"Corporate clients of any significant size are going to have a lot of different needs with regard to litigation," says Coventon, who places his book of business at $1.5 million.
"If you're with a law firm that has attorneys that specialize in each of those areas, a corporation only needs to go to one firm to handle all of its litigation needs."
Coventon is bringing along all of his clients, among them the Salvation Army.
Holland & Knight recruited Coventon because his practice is a good fit with the Los Angeles office and with the firm as a whole, according to
Mark Shipow, executive partner of the local office.
