Proskauer Rose: Litigators Leave Manatt to Work With Their Guru

A pair of litigation partners from the Los Angeles home office of Manatt Phelps & Phillips joined the local outpost of New York's Proskauer Rose on May 14.

A pair of litigation partners from the Los Angeles home office of Manatt Phelps & Phillips joined the local outpost of New York's Proskauer Rose on May 14.
The new Proskauer Rose white-collar criminal defense lawyers
Jack DiCanio and Anthony Pacheco were both prosecutors in the U.S. attorney's office for the Central District of California before they bounced to the 220-lawyer Manatt Phelps in 2000.
The pair both say they made the switch to work with Proskauer Rose's white-collar defense guru
Richard Marmaro, who headed Los Angeles' McCambridge Deixler & Marmaro until the 550-lawyer Proskauer Rose acquired it about a year ago. He heads the firm's West Coast corporate criminal defense practice.
Pacheco and DiCanio worked at the McCambridge Deixler firm for more than five years before joining the Department of Justice in 1994.
"It was a comfortable, natural move for us," Pacheco says of their return. "We knew their capabilities and that they were great lawyers."
