U.S. Air Force Judge
LOS ANGELES - Michael A. Kilroy, a veteran judge advocate with the U.S. Air Force, joins the civilian ranks with his recent appointment to the immigration court in Lancaster.
Kilroy replaces Robert O. Vicars, who has transferred to the downtown Los Angeles immigration court.
Kilroy, a member of the Montana bar, received his law degree in 1973 from the University of Montana. He served as a judge advocate with the Air Force from 1973 until he retired as a colonel in January.
His military career included three assignments as a criminal trial judge at Travis Air Force Base in California, from 1990 to 1991, and at the Yakota Air Base in Japan from 1991 to 1993 and 1998 to 2000.
The Executive Office of Immigration Review appoints immigration judges.
