Prominent entertainment and business litigator John Gatti has joined Santa Monica's Alschuler, Grossman, Stein & Kahan as a partner.
Gatti started at the 90-attorney, full-service business law firm July 29.
"It is an outstanding opportunity not only to join forces with a pre-eminent entertainment litigation firm but a full-service firm with a national reputation in commercial litigation and corporate transactions," Gatti says.
Gatti says that his previous firm, Los Angeles' White, O'Connor, Curry, Gatti & Avanzado, focuses only on litigation and that he was interested in offering transactional services to his clients.
Gatti, 39, co-founded White O'Connor in 1996 after leaving Christensen, White, Miller, Fink & Jacobs (now Christensen, Miller, Fink, Jacobs, Glaser, Weil & Shapiro). He was a name partner at White O'Connor at the time of his departure.
His clients include Rhino Entertainment, Boulevard Management, Modern Media, Ladd Co., Pamela Anderson and Emmy award-winning television director Gary Halvorson.
"John Gatti chose [our firm] because of its stellar reputation in entertainment and business litigation," says Alschuler Grossman managing partner Dana Levitt. "We are delighted to have him on our team."
That team includes 30 Alschuler Grossman attorneys who practice full time or part time in the entertainment litigation field.
