Pillsbury Winthrop Treats Staff, Clients to a Day at the Museum

Pillsbury Winthrop's San Diego-area staff and clients got a chance to exercise the right side of their brains July 17 with a private showing of a Pierre-Auguste Renoir exhibit at the San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park.

Pillsbury Winthrop's San Diego-area staff and clients got a chance to exercise the right side of their brains July 17 with a private showing of a Pierre-Auguste Renoir exhibit at the San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park.
Of the 400-plus in attendance, Pillsbury Winthrop drew representatives from clients such as Verizon Wireless, Johnson & Johnson, Motorola, Bank of America and PetCo.
The group attended "Idol of Moderns: Pierre-August Renoir and American Painting," which featured 40 paintings exploring the impact Renoir had on American artists during the first half of the 20th century. The exhibit includes Renoir paintings and sketchings, including "The Letter" and "Woman Combing Her Hair."
The remaining paintings were works by American artists, such as Childe Hassam, George Bellows, John Sloan and Marsden Hartley, who were inspired by Renoir.
The exhibit runs through Sept. 15 and $8 advance tickets are required.
