Music Practice at Akin Gump Welcomes New Senior Counsel
Christian L. Castle joined Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld as senior counsel in its Los Angeles music practice July 15. "He has a great background in the law, but music is his first love," says David Braun, chair of the firm's music group.

Castle, who was previously with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, has a rich history in the music industry. He served as vice president of business and legal affairs at A&M Records Inc. and was senior vice president of business affairs at Sony Music Entertainment Inc. in New York.
Castle even spent time in the 1970s performing with the likes of Yvonne Elliman, Blues artist Long John Baldry and singer-songwriter Jesse Winchester.
Akin Gump's Los Angeles office has 121 attorneys. The firm has more than 1,000 attorneys in 14 international offices.
