NORWALK - Rob Wada used to spend most of his day poring over a stack of paperwork at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles.

As a probate attorney, it was Wada's job to "work up" a case before it went to the judge. He would review the filed documents, summarize the facts, and recommend ways to resolve gnarly issues.
