LOS ANGELES - Marc Kopeikin, a juvenile and traffic court referee, always asks the kids who come before him how they're doing in school.
"I tell them it's important," Kopeikin said. "'How do you know what your potential is? How do you know you wouldn't make a great lawyer? The whole world is open to you, whatever you want to do. But you've got to get a good education.'"<... (continued)
