Donna R. Levin

Taking time off from a career to raise her children and move for a family business opportunity still led Referee Donna R. Levin to law school and her current assignment in dependency court.

MONTEREY PARK - Donna Levin was 16 when she graduated from high school and 46 when she passed the State Bar Exam. In-between, she married, raised two children, helped her husband start a business, graduated from college and went to law school.

So Levin, a dependency court referee, finds it exasperating when parents who appear in her courtroom tell her they "can't really do this [or that]."
