VAN NUYS - Listen up! Commissioner Nancy Gast's got a hefty calendar to move. Every morning, she handles up to 140 cases; every afternoon, another 120. She's got to keep moving.
"Do I go very fast?" Gast said. "Yes, I do."
So don't expect "warm and cuddly," she said, when you walk into Department 102, otherwise known as the traffic arraignment court.
