GLENDALE - Family law didn't come naturally to Commissioner Nori Anne Walla. She never practiced that specialized area.

But her time spent presiding over divorces, child custody and support matters at the Pasadena Courthouse, she said, proved to be a period of tremendous growth - professionally and personally.

"I learned an amazing amount of the law - and a lot about myself," she said.
