LANCASTER - The 13-year-old boy had never been in trouble. But after three days of testimony, Judge Richard E. Naranjo found the youth committed second-degree murder when he struck an older teenager in the head with a baseball bat after a Palmdale Pony League game in 2005. He sentenced the boy to confinement in the California Youth Authority.
