INGLEWOOD - Los Angeles County Superior Court Commissioner John R. Johnson hears the stories of people scraping by to survive, whose poor decisions land them in trouble with the law.
But if they all went to trial, the court system would break down. So Johnson sees his role as commissioner for the early disposition courtroom in Inglewood Courthouse as a negotiator, taking stress off the system by making deals.
