MONTEREY PARK - The sounds of "soul and rock" shaped Tony Trendacosta's life when he was growing up.
His father, a music talent agent, represented some of the greats: Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Al Green.
"I met them all," Trendacosta said. "I had a very rich childhood."
