SAN FRANCISCO - Many judges covet San Francisco Superior Court's civil law and motion department. But Judge Charlotte W. Woolard says it wasn't her first choice of assignment. Or even her second or third choices.
Even so, she seems to have brought the same pleasant but firm demeanor to Department 302 as she displayed in her previous assignments, which have run the gamut from family law to criminal.
