SANTA ROSA - Every felony case in Sonoma County goes first to Superior Court Judge Jamie O. Thistlethwaite to see if she can ease the court's criminal caseload by resolving them early.
And while some cases are unlikely to settle, she has managed to close out more than 850 cases - or 86 percent of the county's felony matters - since taking on the assignment in January.
