SANTA ANA - Walter P. Schwarm spent 20 years in the Orange County district attorney's office, the last several leading and teaching younger prosecutors.

Now, after just 10 months on the county Superior Court bench, Schwarm is teaching himself how to be a judge. "You have to learn how to say things as a judge," he said. "It's a whole different language."
