HAYWARD — Andrew A. "Drew" Steckler, an avid baseball fan, handled a few curveballs during his first year on the Alameda County Superior Court.

Appointed to the bench in March 2015, Steckler was first assigned to Department 501 at the Hayward Hall of Justice to handle misdemeanor pretrial proceedings.
