SAN FRANCISCO - When San Francisco juvenile dependency court Commissioner Catherine A.S. Lyons began to get frustrated one day, her clerk leaned over and gently suggested it was time for a break.

Lyons called a time-out so she could practice a little meditation in her chambers, where ironically there's a blowup version of the anxious character from Edvard Munch's painting "The Scream."
