FRESNO - It may have seemed like U.S. District Court Judge Oliver W. Wanger was ready to slow down a few years ago when he decided to take senior status. Not so.

Wanger, a judge in the country's busiest district had no plans to lighten his workload. Making the move was simply a way to allow the court to bring in another judge to help relieve the Eastern District's heavy caseload.
