SAN DIEGO - While sitting in her chambers awaiting a verdict in a run-of-the-mill traffic collision case in September, Judge Linda Quinn was approached by a bailiff relaying a question from the jury.

Jurors wanted to know why a driver suing for damages was cruising in the far left lane of the freeway, with his exit fast approaching on the other side of the road.
