INDIO - Most days, Superior Court Commissioner Ronald G. Lorden presides over 120 arraignments and five to 10 traffic trials for motorists charged with moving violations in the Coachella Valley.

That's on an average day.

"We've had days when we've had up to 180 to 200 arraignments," Lorden said.
