LOS ANGELES — While it's not uncommon for people to make career shifts, Commissioner Elizabeth Munisoglu got her acceptance letter to Pepperdine University School of Law when she was 50.
It all started when she was pondering retirement options from her previous career as a Social Security administrator, and that led to a tenure as a prosecutor and, finally, a position on the bench overseeing misdemeanor trials at the Los Angeles Airport Courthouse.
