SAN DIEGO — Judge Jeffrey F. Fraser didn't mince words last year when he sentenced a convicted rapist to eight years in prison.
While that was the most he could legally dole out to self-proclaimed pick-up artist Alex Smith, Fraser made it clear the defendant wasn't getting what he deserved.
"This is not a hard decision at all. In fact, if I could give you more time I would," the judge said, according to a court transcript.
