SANTA ANA - The reason Kazuharu Makino is a good judge is he doesn't care.

Makino, a 20-year veteran of the Orange County Superior Court, says it's that attitude that makes him well-suited for the bench.

"I really don't have strong views about politics, like I'm pro-victim, pro-business, pro-consumer," he said.
