MERCED — Superior Court Judge Harry L. Jacobs has overseen just about every type of case possible as a commissioner and a judge in Merced County.
Jacobs plans to retire at the end of the year and sign on to the assigned judges program in San Francisco, but he’s using his remaining time in Merced to work on a project close to his heart, setting up a veterans’ court that opened its doors Tuesday.
