NORWALK — While cuts and bruises are clear signs in domestic violence cases, sometimes Judge LaRonda McCoy has to look a little deeper.

“You see the fear and you see the terror,” she said.

Earlier this year she moved into her role overseeing a domestic violence restraining order calendar where she occasionally has to hear testimony from victims who may not have a scratch on them.
